Who We Are
The 114th Civilian Observation Patrol is an all-volunteer civilian patrol organized to support the 114th Precinct community in Astoria, Queens. Our trained volunteers walk neighborhood streets, observe and report quality-of-life concerns, and act as extra eyes and ears for local residents and businesses.
We are observers, not enforcers: our members are trained to observe carefully, document accurately, and report promptly to the proper authorities.
What We Do
- Scheduled evening patrols along Astoria's commercial strips and residential blocks
- Grid searches and poster distribution when a neighbor goes missing
- Public-safety tabling at street fairs, school events, and precinct council meetings
- Coordination with the 114th Precinct community affairs officers
